From home theater to car audio, I will post the best values I come across, things I have added to my wishlist or things I have in my home.

March Madness Everywhere

This has been an interesting month to say the least. The weather has been up and down and right now, it looks beautiful outside. However, it’s only 40 degrees! That’s alright, UK made it to the Final Four. We’re gonna bring it home this year. Sorry to my Connecticut friends, but you’re going DOWN!

Let’s go topic by topic so I can do one big update…

Health/Fitness
I am now a client at Abundant Living Medical Clinic. In a nutshell, they are an all-natural pharmaceutical company. They are much more, but that will sum it up. Essentially, they draw a person’s blood and analyze it to find out what they’re deficient in. I learned a lot from them and am very pleased with the results. I’ll do a separate article tomorrow for the full story. Check them out, tell them I sent ya.

Electronics
I had to file an insurance claim with Sprint because I misplaced my Evo. The insurance company sent out an email EVERY DAY letting me know they weren’t shipping it that day since it was on backorder. The funny thing is they begin each email with, “We know how important getting your phone back is to you.” Blah blah blah, SEND ME MY PHONE. I’m going on a week now without my Evo. Luckily, I had one of my OLD Samsung phones and oh how I’ve grown to HATE it. Dear baby Jesus, send me my Evo.

That Rumblin’ Sound
I went to Lexington Custom Cycles over the weekend to check on my bike’s progress. The V-Star doesn’t even look like the same bike. It’s been lowered and now, after sitting on it to adjust, will be a whopping 4″ off the ground. The rear fender sheet metal work was pretty much done, the tank extension has been installed, and the rear lights were being done on Sunday. JR from Custom Upholstery by Jr. LLC stopped in the shop today and talked with Billy about the plan. Billy is going to build the seat pan and JR is going to pick it up in a couple of days to finish the custom motorcycle seat.

We are about 2 weeks out on the bike being complete. It would be much sooner, but after talking about paint and design with Billy, he’s got a 110-120 hour paint job planned for it. Needless to say, I’m PUMPED.

Other Motorcycle News
Kodiak Motorcycles is pretty upset with my new website, KodiakMotorcyclesSucks.com. People have come out of the woodwork to submit their stories and it’s drawing some serious attention. The site statistics far surpass Kodiak Motorcycles’ website stats and it hasn’t even been live for a month. It is becoming a success; one of our readers did receive full reimbursement from the shop after posting his story on the site and filing a complaint with the BBB. Justice will be served one way or another. :)

Other News
R.I.P. Amine Lemghaili. Some jackass decided to shoot and kill Amine who has been the cab guy I’ve used for the last four years. He was a good man, a great friend, and took care of my friends and me and I can only imagine what his wife and daughter are going through. I hope the courts serve justice. Read the article here.

On a much brighter note, I’d like to thank Alecia for keeping a smile on my face and being there for me when I needed you.

Who Turned the Heat Off?!?

Man, the weather has been great lately, but I’m not digging the 50 degree stuff today or tomorrow. I liked rolling with the top down on my Mustang.

So my Kodak Playsport came in. It shoots awesome video. I’m no camera man, that’s for sure, but it’s waterproof, dust proof, shoots in HD even under water, takes awesome pictures, and is only $150. I shot a short video so you can see the quality. Check it out here.

Also in tech news, my MacBook Pro arrived today. It’s taking a little time to adjust to the change, but this thing ROCKS! Moving all my data from the PC to the Mac won’t be too fun, but it’ll force me to clean up my iTunes.

Our April Fool’s ride was awesome in Harlan, KY last weekend. Got to spend good quality time with the guys and saw some old friends I hadn’t seen in a while. First day there I had to buy new ATV tires – Austin’s ATV Shop is the place to do it. They sold and installed Mud Lites for $250 out the door. How cool is that?

I had quite a long night last night and am BEAT today. Early day tomorrow: the Coach Cal Maker’s Mark bottle signing is taking place at Keeneland. If you want a bottle (not autographed) go to CalipariFoundation.org. They’re $49.99 and will sell out fast. I have 100 cases of them in my driveway right now. Well, I HAD them there, but didn’t tell anyone until they were moved to prevent theft.

I’ll be at Keeneland all day Friday. If you’re heading that way, text me and we’ll meet up.

Kodak Playsport Zx3

So I’ve always had a Camcorder and a camera, neither of which I invested big bucks into. Let’s face it, the only time my camera gets used is when I’m traveling our out drinking and they take a beating. The camcorders? Well the camcorders would have been more useful if I had an easy way to transfer the footage EASILY onto the Internet.

Let me introduce Kodak’s Playsport Zx3. It shoots in HD (full 1080p), it’s waterproof up to 10 feet, shoots videos and takes pictures. It uses SD or SDHC memory cards and has a removable/rechargeable battery so you can keep the fun going for hours on end.

They aren’t going to be available until April 5th, but I pre-ordered mine and will write up a review (and post pictures and videos, naturally) as soon as it arrives. Want one for yourself? Click on the links below:
