I haven’t updated my own blog since late January, I should be ashamed of me. Actually, three weeks isn’t a lot of time, but so much has gone on it’s hard to keep up. Work has EXPLODED with business straight out of the gates in 2011 and isn’t slowing down. I’m almost ready to fall into my two-shift mode where I work at the office during the day and work with my teams of developers for a few hours a night to be sure they’re getting things done. Fun stuff.
Let’s see, what else is going on? I blew the transmission out of my Mustang on my way to my birthday dinner with my family and Alecia. I wasn’t even driving like a race car driver. I’m hoping my roommate and I can get it pulled this week or this weekend and fix it without taking it to a shop. It’s GOT to be something simple, like a clogged pickup tube or something. The stock transmission lasted 18 years. I had it replaced with beefier parts three years ago and it’s already failing? WTF. Not even three years and definitely less than 20,000 miles. So that sucks.
My motorcycle is still at Lexington Custom Cycles. I honestly have been so busy lately I haven’t had a chance to get a progress report, but hope to do so later this week or over the weekend. The warm weather has me itching for my custom bike! Don’t worry, I’ve still been riding. My friend Zach left her crotch rocket at my house so I can take it to the shop when mine’s done. Sport bikes are fun. I now know I made the right decision by NOT buying one because I’d end up locked up or dead.
We entered the 2011 Lexington Ad Club ADDY awards at work this year. We submitted work we’ve done in 17 different categories and got gold place in 9 of them. It was an excellent night. We worked our butts off last year and appreciated the recognition. Check out the photos of the WebMedley crew from the photo guy. Yes, I hijacked the watermarked photos from his website. Yes, partially because I’m too cheap to purchase prints. But mainly because there weren’t digital prints available to purchase. Although having some of these on a t-shirt would be super sweet…
