Google released its new website indexing system, Caffeine, this week. With the rapid growth of websites and information on the Internet, it was beginning to take longer than the standard month’s time for Google to index everything out there.
Let me explain in Layman’s terms: once a month, Google would send out their spiders to capture all the information they could on websites all across the Internet. With a new domain name registered every SECOND at GoDaddy.com alone, one can imagine all the websites that are popping up. This has in turn slowed Google’s indexing of the information.
The new Caffeine system is supposed to work much faster and get everything from websites to blogs to forum content. Thank you, Google, for making it even easier to access pertinent information. If you or your company needs help with your website or getting it moved up in the search engines, email me.
